THE IDEAL SOCCER FOOTWEAR ACCORDING TO THE TURF.

February 10, 2023

There are many different types of soccer pitches and there are also many shoes that each offer their own specialty. In this blog we tell you which soccer shoes are most suitable for the different soccer fields.

Firm ground footwear

To start with the normal grass fields. Fields where the grass is not too wet and not too dry, this is also called firm ground, this is an English term. Special soccer shoes have been designed for these types of grass fields, the so-called firm ground soccer shoes. On the sole of the shoe there are about 10 to 15 plastic studs that are not replaceable. The firm ground football boots are the most balanced of all types. These shoes are used by most professional soccer players.

Soft ground footwear

Second, we have soft ground soccer shoes. These are designed for soft and wet grass areas. This type of shoe is not used very often, but it is very unique. Soft ground shoes have long iron studs. Soft ground shoes have fewer studs than firm ground shoes, usually between 6 and 8. The long iron studs ensure that you do not slip easily on the wet or soft field. Because there are fewer studs, the shoe is less stable than firm ground shoes. In many international soccer academies , iron studs are banned because it can lead to massive injuries to opponents or teammates.

Artificial ground footwear

Artificial grass is becoming increasingly popular these days, which also leads to new developments within the shoe market. Spainrush-SFP, professional soccer academy in Spain , also uses artificial grass. Special artificial ground soccer shoes have been designed for these types of grass. These shoes have a high number of thick studs to distribute the pressure in the best way. Firm ground and soft ground shoes run the risk of wearing out quickly on artificial pitches.

Turf footwear

Turf soccer shoes are designed for extremely hard surfaces. These shoes have many more studs than normal so that you do not slip easily on the hard surface. Think of frozen grass or stone. In practice, these types of shoes are not often used for competitions. Turf soccer shoes are therefore not recommended if you are planning to join a  soccer academy with a artificial grass.

Indoor Court footwear

Indoor court soccer shoes are designed for indoor use on hard ground. These shoes therefore have no studs but a flat sole. This ensures a lot of grip on the plastic floor of the halls. The shoes are also designed in such a way that the sole does not leave any stripes on the ground.

Advice

Are you planning to join one of the best soccer academies Spainrush-SPF? Then we advise you to purchase firm ground or artificial soccer shoes. This is because artificial turf pitches are widely used in Spain. With Firm ground shoes you run the risk of getting worn out shoes faster, so artificial shoes are the best option.
